Got sick, got stressed, got cookie dough.
I’m not even kidding you right now. I haven’t had cookie dough in like ten years. It’s not paleo, it’s packed with sugar, and it made me sick. Talk about a bad plan! (Not salmonella sick, like too much suger on my almost sugar-free diet sick.) But before I was actually “caught a virus from my kid” sick, I was cookie dough sick for like an entire day. It wasn’t fun, I was curled in bed for a few hours, and I can assure you it won’t happen again. I know, because this is also the same way I found out that cucumber vodka has never been and never will be my friend.
You make me sick, I no longer ingest you. I’m a simple woman like that.
All that to say it hasn’t been a great week and the scale is going to show you how that played out. (I’ll give you a hint. It played out badly. Very, very, very badly.)
But on the bright side I’ve been exercising on schedule – except for the two pukey-sick days this week – because everyone in my family was barfing all over the place for a couple days. This is also the magic of my body….watch or you’ll miss it….I gain weight when I’m sick. Broth and hot tea (with no milk and sugar, just plan) and I gain weight. It’s like some weird Bizzaro thing. So this has not been an awesome week at. all.

Starting Weight: 318.4 lbs.
Difference from Last Week: +6.4 lbs.
Total Weight Lost: 7.6 lbs.
Percentage of Body Weight Lost to Date: 2.4%
I may be down (or up, technically) but I’m not out! This is just the leg of the marathon where I tripped and fell on my face. A skinned knee won’t keep me from getting to the starting line and blazing past it. This morning I had some greek yogurt for breakfast and a cup of black coffee. I am strong, I am secure, I’m kind of madly in love with myself, and I’ll see you next week as I get rid of the sick pounds and the cookie dough pounds and maybe evict some of their friends from the apartment complex of my body as well.
You’ll just have to tune in to find out.
