Oh…this is a FUN question!
Normally you hear people asking, “What’s your passion?” … it makes me groan. Not even on the inside, I swear I out-loud groan (sometimes I’m socially challenged) when people ask that.
You see, I don’t have a passion. I don’t have something that gets me out of bed in the morning. I just get out of bed. I enjoy my family and like my life, but there’s nothing that makes me feel all driven and lion-growly and tiger-roary in my life. I don’t really want anything to make me feel all driven, because passion, to me, is like a one-way trip to the insane asylum because you just can’t keep up that level of OHMYGODIMDOINGWHATILOVEEVERYDAYWHEE without something going haywire.
This is, of course, just my opinion.
But what do I love to do?
I love to tell people the flaws in their amazing plans. Not to be a brat or bring them down, but to help them make their plans bulletproof. I love to see problems that could arise and make back-up plans so the word “unexpected” becomes “so unlikely I’m more likely to see a unicorn” – layers and layers of planning and cunning and outwitting and building and backing-up and solidification.
I love to watch and follow people who haven’t followed my advice and see their plans crumble. Not because I want bad things to happen to them, but because I LOVE knowing I gave GOOD advice. I love giving advice that’s just this side of psychic.
Of course, on the flip side, I also love learning. I love being wrong because then I can add the information to my brain and it becomes part of the universe between my ears and I use it to plan even better stuff that has an even more solid foundation.
I love planning. I love saving. I love budgeting. I love spending money. I love success. I love learning. I love having fun. I love reading books. I love drinking wine. I love spending time with my friends. I love hanging out with my family. I love doing almost anything with my husband.
It might seem like some of these aren’t compatible with others, but they work for me.
Because the bottom line is I love living.
Every day, I love living.
